At Healthy Mates, we offer a wide range of services, including physiotherapy, exercise physiology, hydrotherapy, contrast pools, sauna, high-performance programs, strength and conditioning and water aerobics classes.

YES. Anyone can use the hydrotherapy pools, gym, contrast pools and sauna. You do not need a referral or do not need to book an appointment. However, we prefer you ring in advance to let us know you are coming. When presenting for your first session, our staff will ask that you fill out a consent form, and from here, our friendly staff will show you around the facility. 

No, you don’t; but it is important to bring any relevant documents and results you think may be helpful for our clinicians to assess and diagnose your injury. Although not essential, we accept referrals from your GP and work closely with local GPs to ensure holistic care for each client. 

Yes, Healthy Mates services are covered by Medicare. If your GP refers you as a part of the Enhanced Primary Care program, it will be best to speak to your GP regarding this to see if you are eligible, as not every person is qualified. If your GP refers you as a part of the EPC program, we charge a gap fee of $30 for these consultations. 

Yes, we do; please disclose your gestation, as treatments we offer can be contraindicated in pregnancy.

Please bring any paperwork you might find relevant, such as referral letters, imaging reports and any other relevant paperwork. You may also want to write down any questions you want to ask your practitioner. If we require further information before the appointment, our Administration team will contact you to organise this.
